Expanding the Footprint
Americans spend approximately 90 percent of their time indoors, where the concentrations of some pollutants are often 2 to 5 times higher than typical outdoor concentrations. We also spend another 2-3% of our time in cars leaving the avg amount of time we actually spend outside at only 7% or less. With depression and anxiety on the rise in the US, these statistics are significant because research has found that just being outside can lower blood pressure, reduce stress, improve mood, improve focus, help us heal faster, and age better.
At FeldHawk we believe that too much time is spent indoors and that humanity often chases happiness in all the wrong places. With all the benefits that outdoor living offers, we think we should start by simply spending more time outside. That being said, spending time outside isn’t nearly as easy as it sounds. Things like work, weather, and convenience can make it impractical to be outside. This is what makes our products so revolutionary.
We ideate, create, and improve on products that not only draw our customers to spend more time outside but they also make it practical and comfortable. To increase the time people spend outside, we create products that enable typical indoor routines to be done outside. This can take the form of an outdoor office, kitchen, gym, or even a video game den. Where possible, we create our products to be modular to enable our customers creative freedom and flexibility to fit any space.
